Pray for the Romeike Family
October 3, 2023
One of the under-publicized stories unfolding in America right now is the plight of the Romeike family. For those unaware, the Romeike’s are a family of German refugees who for the last 15 years have lived in Tennessee legally under asylum status. The family wanted to give their children a Christian education but were unable to because homeschooling is against German law. They fled Germany to escape persecution. Despite their asylum status being initially accepted, the Biden administration is seeking to have this family deported.
The Bible tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." The Romeikes could not train up their children the way they saw fit in Germany, so they came to America, a country built on religious liberty.
If they had come here illegally and espoused anti-American rhetoric, they would be more welcome than they are today. But by seeking to teach their children with a Christian underpinning, and away from the tentacles of the government, the Romeikes are bringing the full force of Joe Biden's Justice Department on themselves.
There is a war on parents happening all across the world. We've seen Biden's Justice Department investigate parents who speak at school board meetings as domestic terrorists. LGBTQ teachers are empowered to transition children, despite objections from parents.
Joe Biden was dead serious when he chillingly remarked, "There is no such thing as someone else's child. No such thing as someone else's child. Our nation's children are all our children."
Biden and the Democrats want to raise your children in the way THEY see fit. It's wrong, it goes against what the Bible tells us as parents, but unfortunately as long as the Democrats are in power, this is something we will continue to see.
It is critical to remember that despite government intrusion into our role as parents, we are accountable to God first, and above all. The Romeike family has now been persecuted by not one but TWO nations, all for wanting to give their children an education that glorified God.
We must call out this religious persecution! Pray for the Romeike's, for America, for Germany, and for the Biden administration to reverse their decision and allow this innocent family to remain in our country.
