My Prayers for Canada

September 8, 2023

Last night, I was up late praying for this weekend's Let Us Worship revivals in Canada, specifically the cities of Ottawa, Calgary, and Vancouver.

Canada may be a first-world democracy and one of the richest nations in the world, but in just the last few years we've watched pastors defy Canada's extreme COVID lockdowns by holding church services. The result? They were arrested. Similarly, when pastors protested child drag shows, they too were arrested. Simply put, Canada is a hostile environment for the Gospel.

So many people have asked me over the last week why we would go to a place like Canada. My answer is simple: We are called to worship in the places needing the greatest breakthrough.

Let Us Worship is a movement born out of the desire to see a Holy revival fall upon our nation. But the desire for revival is not held exclusively by us Americans—far from it!!

We've seen a hunger for revival from Believers all across the globe. In response, we've brought the Let Us Worship movement to nations like South Africa, India, and Iraq and we will go to Australia later this year! In Mark chapter 12, Jesus taught, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

We know God is stirring the hearts of our northern neighbors, our Canadian brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as preparing to work in the lives of the lost. Isaiah 6:8 has become our battle cry during this season: "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

God is sending us and now is the time for us to bring revival north to Canada! May God move this weekend and awaken a nation that DESPERATELY needs revival!

For those of you who have asked how you can help, there are two main things you can do: first is to pray, and next is to give. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective—I've seen this truth in action more times than I can count, and we need all the prayers we can get!

The cost to hold these three revivals comes out to over $20,000 each, and we are on the hook for all of it. Unlike some previous revivals, we do not have a large benefactor covering the cost. But we heard the call to go, and we are obeying in the face of uncertainty.
