The first copy of “Kingdoms” was given away today to a muslim bus driver.

….and I was a very happy person because of it.

The End.

Just kidding. Here is more to the story…

As we left the hillside where the epic “sermon on the mount” was preached by the Man himself, our driver asked me a random question. He wanted to know what I loved to do for fun. Thinking of so many answers but looking at my guitar next to me on the bus, I mentioned that I am a musician and love to sing songs to God. He was interested with the thought of this and our conversation led to him asking to hear some of the music.

My speedy CD duplicators finished printing the project earlier than expected and I was able to bring a few copies with me to give to friends in the land. As an artist whose released a fare share of albums (12 to be exact), it’s pretty amazing when you get the copies of the CD even one day before the release date – so a few weeks early was a first ever!

I do not produced, release and record albums just to sell them or simply because “it’s that time of year again.” But each album is a fresh “word” God gives from heaven for the season. So I jumped at the opportunity to bring a few copies with me to Israel and “dedicate” this new word from Jerusalem! There is so much biblical truth and authority from in doing this as shown in Isaiah 2:3:

“…for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

As we drove through the Galilean countryside listening to this live sound of unhindered and raw worship, it seemed like nothing could wipe the smile off our drivers face! Even though the album boldly declares the collision and eventual domination of a greater Kingdom overshadowing and overpowering the kingdoms of this world, worship is still so inviting to the lost. The Spirit of worship releases peace, joy and life (Romans 14:17) and makes way for the crashing in of another kingdom! The Muslim driver made me promise that I would leave this album with him today. I made him promise that he would play it over and over as he drives back and forth across the nation. I think that was a pretty good deal.

Even though it does not release until January 27th (8 days from now), I almost feel this new “word” is already accomplishing it purposes in the heart of my bus driver friend : ).

I would never want to give away the first copy to anyone else.
